Andhra Pradesh government to attract investment from tesla

New Delhi: Reports suggest that the state government has stepped up efforts to attract investment from Tesla for its electric vehicle manufacturing unit in Andhra Pradesh.

Is Tesla coming to Andhra Pradesh

In 2024, Andhra Pradesh Minister Naralokesh, during his visit to the US, held talks with Tesla’s Chief Financial Officer Vaibhav Taneja about the possibilities of Tesla investing in Andhra Pradesh.

In this context, Tesla had temporarily put its decision on investing in India on hold last year.

In this context, Prime Minister Modi, who recently visited the US, met Elon Musk. Following this, Tesla had published an advertisement on its website regarding employment opportunities for its sales and service unit in Mumbai.

Following this, reports have emerged that the Andhra Pradesh government has now stepped up efforts to attract investment from Tesla.

According to reports, the state government has promised to provide the necessary land and additional incentives for this.

It is noteworthy that Chandrababu Naidu had already signed a memorandum of understanding with Tesla in 2017 for two solar energy storage plants in Rayalaseema.
