Nairobi: Kenya has cancelled a deal with Adani to expand its airport following US allegations.

Kenya had signed a deal with Adani to expand its aviation infrastructure in Kenya. The country’s Ministry of Energy also signed a $736 billion power supply deal with the company.

In this context, the US has filed a case in New York federal court alleging that Adani paid Indian officials Rs. 250 million as bribes to get a solar power project. He committed a massive fraud by getting Americans to invest in it. An arrest warrant has also been issued for his arrest.

This has created a huge stir in Indian politics. But Adani has denied the allegations against them.

The Kenyan government, which has given an explanation regarding the US accusation, said that there was no irregularity in the contract with Adani. It had said that no bribe was paid.

In this context, Kenyan President William Ruto said: I have ordered the cancellation of the contract signed with Adani regarding the airport expansion. I have also ordered action to be taken to cancel the contract signed regarding the supply of electricity. He said this.
