Applications are invited from eligible Indian citizens for recruitment to the posts of Postal Assistant, Sorting Assistant, Postman, Mail Guard and Multi-Tasking Staff (MDS) in India Postal Department.

Total Number of Vacancies: 1,899

Job: Postal Assistant – 598
Salary: Rs.25,500 – 81,100 per month

Job: Sorting Assistant – 142
Salary: Rs.25,500 – 81,100 per month

Occupation: Postman (PostMan) -585
Salary: Rs.21,700 – 69,100 per month

Job: Mail gaurd – 3
Salary: Rs.21,700 – 69,100 per month

Job: Multi Tasking Staff – 570
Salary: Rs.18,000 – 56,900 per month


Educational qualification:

Must have passed 10th, Plus 2 from central and state recognized educational institutions, degree in any field and computer skills. Must know the local language of the respective states. And should know how to drive two wheelers. Must have driving license. Also, should have participated in any of the 63 recognized sports competitions published in the list like Basketball, Football, Volleyball, Kabaddi, Wrestling.

Age Limit:

18 to 27 years for all posts

Selection Process:

Selection will be based on written test followed by skill test and interview.
