The report further states: For most of the past year, fintech investors have held off on investments due to geopolitical conflicts and high interest rates. As a result, investments fell to the lowest level in the last five years.
Last year, 4,547 deals were done in the fintech sector globally, with an investment of Rs 9.44 lakh crore.
Fintech investment in India fell by more than half last year to Rs 24,900 crore from Rs 56,440 crore earlier in 2022.
Investment in Singapore also fell from Rs 37,350 crore to Rs 18,260 crore. Over the past year, the US has attracted the most investment in the sector.
6.10 lakh crore rupees have been invested in the country through 1,734 deals. This is reported.
