Amid rising global trade tensions and sluggish corporate earnings, foreign investors who had invested in Indian stocks withdrew their investment worth Rs 24,753 crore in the first week of this month, data showed.
This is the 13th consecutive week of withdrawals, after withdrawing Rs 34,574 crore in February and Rs 78,027 crore in January.
With this, the amount withdrawn by foreign investors so far in the current year 2025 has reached Rs 1.37 lakh crore.
SEBI warns Nestle over ‘insider trading’ in the market
Mumbai: SEBI has warned Nestle India that it has received a complaint of insider trading in the stock market. SEBI has alleged that this illegal stock trading was carried out through a person appointed by the company and the stock trading rules were violated. In this regard, an administrative warning letter from SEBI has been sent to the compliance officer of Nestle India.
However, Nestle India has not commented on the details contained in the letter.
Nestle India is the Indian unit of the Swiss company Nestle. It is involved in the manufacture and sale of food products including Maggi noodles.
